Senniyo Aesthetics International School is committed to ensuring that its learning environment promotes the respectful and fair treatment of all students. School have a obligation to ensure that students are not denied opportunities, treated differently, discrimated against, or harassed because of their race, color, or national orgin.
While on Senniyo Aesthetics International School of Canada Inc. premises or in the course of activities or events hosted by Senniyo Aesthetics International School of Canada Inc. the following activities are prohibited:
• Racial Discrimation – Racial discrimination is any conduct that treats a student differently and unfavorably because of the student’s race, color, ancestry, national origin, personal characteristics associated with race, or association with a person of a certain race or color. Racial discrimination included any denial of equal educational opportunities based on race.
• Harassment-Harassment is a form of discrimination. It involves any unwanted physical or verbal behavior that offends or humiliates toward a person or members of an identifiable group. Harassment is a behavior that persists over time.
• Discrimination-Discrimination is an unfair differential treatment of an individual or group, whether intended or not, on the basis of race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, political belief, religion, marital status, family status, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation, age or unrelated criminal conviction.
If under any circumstances, a prohibited activity occurs, the following outlines the process for addressing the activity:
(a) The student must report the prohibited activity in letter to the School Administrator.
(b) School Administrator will conduct whatever enquiries and investigations are necessary and appropriate to determine whether the student’s concerns are substantiated in whole or in part. Those inquiries may involve further discussions(s) with the student individually or with appropriate institution’s personnel.
(c) The School Administrator will consider a variety of factors (such as age and maturity level of the students involved or the severity of the circumstances) and recommend a course of action to the General Manager within two weeks.
(d) The General Manager will determine which course of action or punishment is necessary based on the factors above and these actions can be in the range of a simple warning all the way to expulsion. In all cases, safety and welfare of the students is tantamount, and the school will retain a position of zero tolerance on bullying, harassment, intimidation and discrimination.
Students, Instructors and Staffs are expected to:
• Share the responsibility of establishing and maintaining an environment of respectful and fair behavior.
• Make every reasonable effort to prevent, identify, and report any actions of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or violence that have been committed or that they reasonably believe may have been committed.
• Act in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
